We met with the pediatric surgeon this morning regarding Abby's bum. GREAT NEWS!!! She does not need surgery. She does have the 'skin tag' but from what I understand that isn't what is causing the bleeding- he did a pretty thorough exam (poor girl) and showed us that deeper inside she has a tear aka 'anal fissure' so we are now having to do the stool softener twice a day indefinitely to get it to heal as well as give more apple or pear juice to 'get things moving.'
Yesterday Gamma showed up and took the kids and I to lunch and treated them to a shopping trip for new shoes and outfits. She even took Abby to the Disney store and let her pick out whatever she wanted. Abby has been wanting a Tinkerbell dress up costume with wings, and for some reason she turned down the wings and opted for the shoes. She also has completed her Disney princess collection and picked up Pocahontas.
