Week 3 Summer

Last Sunday I took the kids to church while hubs slept. Abby had a bday party in the afternoon. Amazing house. Beautiful pool with a view. This week was football camp for Aidan and Abby went to a sewing camp to make American Girl clothes. Tutoring sessions. Finding our groove with new/changing schedules and activities. Hubs took her to the fabric store on Friday and she picked football fabric to make something for her brother. Yesterday morning she left for a week at church camp. Her first time away from home. I was a crying mess. Had dinner at Nick and Ashley's last night, Jess and Reilly and kids were in town. Was a fabulous evening. Pretty much ran errands all weekend. We are getting ready for lots of home improvement projects around here.

Week 2 Summer

Crazy. So crazy. Father's Day was fun- got him a latte, took him to breakfast- had Ashley meet us there to surprise him. Left him at home with Aidan while Abby and I ran a few errands. Made sweet n sour chicken and fried rice and then he went to the massage appt I booked for him before bed. Monday work. Kids home with hubs. Came home from work made a quick dinner, took Aidan to his tutoring session while hubs left at 4:50pm to go to work night shift. He came home at 730am Tuesday and slept for only about 2.5 hours because he had to meet his mom at Costco to help her get a tv. Poor sleepless honey :-( Tuesday Abby started horse camp. Hubs was in bed by 8pm and slept for probably 5 hours to be to work at 2am. Walking zombie. Wed more horse camp/daycare combined with a migraine and a mammogram. Yeah not the best of days. Thursday more daycare/horse camp.  Hubs worked again but was able to pick up Aidan from daycare and take him to a playdate and then to his tutoring session. I was able to work on cleaning house. Friday hubs finally has a day off. Abby's last day of horse camp. Hubs golfed this morning. Abby had her last Saturday gym class before moving to team and Aidan tried out a new swim instructor.
The annual balloon festival is this weekend. One of the balloons landed at the school where daycare is so Aidan got to watch it land and help push the air out. What a great experience!

Week 1 Summer

Random thoughts. Yet another school shooting here. Oh and a bear. This time not near our house but STILL. Kids were home with dad Mon and Tues. Daycare Wed and Thurs. Thursday they went on a field trip to the Rail Museum. I decided to take them with me to work on Friday. Abby is so miserable there- she's at the age where she's too old for daycare but too young to stay home. Thankfully the next 3 weeks she has camp and Rick's schedule is changing permanently starting Monday. So more changes. Aidan's team won their playoff game Monday so they played in the Championship game today. They went 13-0 all season and then lost today. Great group of kids. He played his best friend's team! He also had his first tutoring session on Thursday. Cooper had a spa day this week. Getting ready to update Aidan's room from fire trucks to football. Oh and the boy loves tacos. LOVES. With hubby's new schedule I had to put the next 2 weeks in a spreadsheet to keep it all straight. My head is literally spinning off. I am an emotional wreck every time this year because of Father's Day-it's just is reminder of the broken relationship with my dad that never heals. Lots of tears today at the drop of a hat. No joke. It's cloudy and I wore sunglasses most of the day.

Weekend

Yesterday we met Grandma for breakfast. She wanted to also take them to Barnes and Noble to buy them books for summer reading. It was already on my errand list since the kids received gift cards there from their piano teacher. We ran errands and then back home so hubs and Aidan could go to baseball practice. I put together a crock pot meal and finished cleaning the floors while they were gone. After dinner we went to the cat shelter to browse and then to pick out flowers. We are late on planting this year. Late on barkdust. Late on window washing. By the time we get our summer projects done and ready for summer it will be October. I went to Barre this morning with my oldest childhood friend. Aidan had his last football game and we had a BBQ after to celebrate. Home for a bit to get Abby ready for her gymnastics showcase and poof... the weekend is over.
