Easter

Last day off for the kiddos before back into our routine! We spent the morning getting ready for the week- making lunches, piano practice, Aidan's reading... I made a pot of White Bean Chili for tomorrow that way I can go watch soccer and dinner is already done. Made pancakes and sausage to heat up in the morning and finished frosting cookies. We went to my Aunt's to deliver a meal and cookies and see my Uncle. From there we went to Rick brother's for an EXCELLENT Easter lunch. I am still stuffed stuffed stuffed. The kids had a fabulous time. We are so blessed.

SB Day 9

Mentally trying to get ready for back to school on Monday... outfits/lunches/homework/dinners/sports. This morning was many, many hours spent in the kitchen. GF Turkey Meatball prep (in a cranberry/orange gravy), cookies to take to my Aunt's, along with Cafe Rio burritos which, by the way, are a lot of work. And let's not forget Resurrection Rolls!!! Baseball practice today. Rick's step-brother unexpectedly passed away this week so his service was also today and we decided instead of our normal 730 Easter Day service we would go to the 6pm service tonight. Busy Busy Day.

Spring Break

I made this salad last night. It's my favorite from Pinterest. Last day of school before spring break. Aidan had pajama day and Abby had an Easter party so she threw together this outfit. I'm going let them have movie night in our bed tonight. Looking forward to having tomorrow off and getting extra time with them. Even though I am working most of next week and hubs is off, I have activities planned each day. Should be a fun week.

March Madness

We were in Seattle this weekend celebrating B's first birthday! Of course we just HAD to stop at American Girl since we don't have one in our state. We had a GF lunch at Chipotle which proved a nice backdrop for a St. Patty's Day picture before heading home. Kids start spring break on Friday. I took it off and am looking forward to extra time with them.
Cooper doesn't like his bunny ears this year. Oh and Rick lost his wedding ring. Abby says he can't be married unless he has a ring so she will make him a paper one.

Spring Forward.

Yawn. Sunday we skipped church.I figured the kids would still be sleeping so I went to 815 Barre class. 3pm hot stone massage. Awesome. Tuesday I had hot lunch duty, Wednesday we had Volunteer Appreciation Chapel in the morning and today I had to leave early for Abby's Country Report Fair. My poor job...I kept bailing. Rick made Aidan's Leprechaun Trap. Boy has some craft skills I never knew about. Abby was miffed hers didn't look this good. She's been battling a sore throat and sniffles this week and low and behold now I'm popping Dayquil. Grrrrrr. Please just let this be it. When we went in for her leg I asked her Ped if the flu has tapered off and she said no- they were still seeing lots of sick kids and that she hopes after spring break once everyone is away from each other it will slow down. Fingers crossed. Hubs had 26.14 miles in by Wednesday. Thank you for making me feel lazy with my lame 14. Cleaned house every night this week after work. I joke that when I leave work I'm going to my 2nd job of cooking and cleaning. Except it's not a joke.

Mellow.

It's been a good week. Just doing our thing... work, school, chores, activities. Abby's vein in her leg seems to be ok. They want to keep an eye on it. Think it's just because it's close to the surface and she has no body fat that it's just prominent. Was going for 17 miles this week but I decided sleep was better today so I can't seem to get over my typical 14. Abby has her country report on Kenya due this week. We finished the poster board today. Tomorrow is the making of Aidan's Leprechaun Trap. I made Abby's when she was in Kindergarten so I told Rick it was his turn. Ha! Aidan had a birthday party this morning, I made more GF snack items in the kitchen, basketball game, to do lists, laundry, dishes. Photo Dump: Lovin the missing teeth, our Duck girl, Roller skates have been brought to life in the house (as well as during piano practice and reading of the newspaper) Abby's class had a 'play' during Chapel this week and she was one of the narrators, She brought me home some cute little flowers in her water bottle, the boy loves electronics. Addict.
