Time is FLYING

I need to just resign myself to the fact that I will NEVER keep up and the list(s) will just get longer and longer. I've been asked to give a speech in 2 weeks about Abby's "journey" with the Egypt project. I spent about 2 hours or more working on it today. I need to get it submitted so they can do their review/edits. Aidan had 3 goals today! They had a great win. Last week was gymnastics, another back to school night, soccer practice, bible verses to memorize and daily piano practice. We have such a seamless rhythm down. Not saying that it's easy. Ever since I hurt my foot I scaled back my 17 miles per week to 10 and added 2 Barre classes. My body is LOVING the extra sleep. Abby's birthday is coming up.... working on that. Both kids have pumpkin patch field trips Rick and I are chaperoning one together and then I'm doing the other. I also signed up to be book mom again for both classes. Momentary lapse in judgement. I am actually counting the days until Thanksgiving because I truly could use 4 days off.
Tomorrow is just going to be family day. It is MUCH needed. After church we are taking meals to my cousin and will have lunch and a movie. Or see a movie and have an early dinner...

What a HUGE experience!!!! Pictures are backwards... I'm still in shock she was picked and they got to be on field.... Rick got photos of Phil Knight and Chip Kelly, lots of the players warming up etc. I keep saying WHO GETS TO DO THAT???? Crazy.

GO DUCKS????

Yeah. We're going to a Duck game and technically we aren't Duck fans. Well we are- I mean how can you not like your home state football team(s) but our loyalty is with the Beavers.  Except. For. Abby.
I signed both kids up on the Generation Beavs program to get discounted tickets etc and to make it fair signed Abby up with the Jr Duck Club. I get a call on Monday from the Oregon Athletic Department indicating they pick TWO names for two Jr. Duck Captains to get a field pass and hour before the game to watch the team warm up, and walk on the field with the Duck before the game and be introduced. Abby was one of the names drawn. When I listened to the voicemail I immediately called Rick and said you have to listen to the message it's hilarious. He called me back and said you're right it is hilarious. Off to the store I went to buy us Beaver fans some Duck colors to wear.
Kids are adjusting well to their school schedules. Aidan's a bit more tired, and overly dramatic but we'll get there.  It's getting to be that crazy time of year and I feel completely overwhelmed.

We're Back....

in the groove!!! First week of school under our belt. First soccer game done, daily piano practice started up again, homework, gymnastics. Abby has a bible verse to memorize each week for school it's part of her grade in Bible and she has one for Church each week as well. I don't know how she's going to keep them straight. Kids are amazing though.
Blood tests all came back normal. He's trying me on a different med. I HATE taking medication. I don't even like taking advil. The last one he tried to give me I took for a week and quit. This one though, for almost 48 hours now I haven't felt nauseated 24/7 and food ALMOST sounds tolerable. I can't count how many times in the past 6 weeks I was ready to go to the ER because I felt THAT miserable. I had a good cry this week out of sheer exhaustion from feeling so awful- amazing I even held it in that long.

September!!!!

Didn't the kids just get out of school??? It was just JUNE. I love Fall though- love the crisp mornings, the leaves, the pajama weekends filled with crockpot smells and FOOTBALL. We received a very nice letter and pictures from Egypt of the kids who received bibles from Abby's fundraiser. Pretty amazing and powerful. I sent a thank you email to the person who sent this latest package and she wrote back stating they are printing 20,000 Arabic copies featuring Abby's story in their newsletter to inspire and encourage more donors in Egypt. I keep pointing out all the pictures of the kids who have bibles is because she SPOKE up and said I'm supposed to do this... She still doesn't grasp it.
Abby started school on Tuesday, Aidan had an hour orientation Tuesday morning and his first day was today. Soccer practice tonight and then Soccer games and Gymnastics will be our weekends. Still not feeling good- went back to the dr today and had some blood work done. Hoping all is ok.... anxious as usual.
