Strep, Surgery, STRESS

Went from dealing with strep straight into hubby's shoulder surgery. Which, by the way, was not the news we were hoping for. I ended up not being able to go into the office the rest of the week (I only took two days off- apparently neither of us were adequately prepared for what this was about). He ended up with a labral tear, bicep repair, bone spur, rotator cuff tear and clavicle resection. So yeah. He came home with a friggin nerve block catheter in his neck with a man purse holding the pump around him and the friggin cooling contraption hooked up 24/7. Day 1 was fine. Day 2 he decided to throw me for a loop and start the day out with the clammy sweats and barfing. Day 3 cath came out and now it's pain management. Our little guy is finishing out his meds for strep but doing much better. The amount of stress this week was off the charts because I still had to maintain my job from home and shuttle kids and fill in for everything else. But man what a little village we have. So much help and support and I couldn't ask for more (except for some sleep)

December!!!

Still can't seem to keep up. Trees are up. Did zoo lights. Finnegan is back. Surprised the kids this week with a Blazer Game for Aidan's birthday. Poor kid tested positive for strep today and tomorrow is his birthday :-(  He's been such a trooper despite how crummy he feels.
