Where did the love go?

Abby bit her brother on Saturday. Owie

Abby's been sick since last Thursday. 101-103 temp for 4 days.

Taco Tater Skins. YUM.

Really YUM

We've been home since Thursday.... stuck inside. Looking at the beautiful weather from indoors. Abby started with fever and cough. I now have it. Aidan woke up with fever this morning. Missed church. Missing swim lessons. Supposed to take Abby back to the dr tomorrow if she still has fever. They did a strep test on Friday and it was negative. I guess the good news about being stuck inside is I cleaned the entire house.... now if it only it would stay that way.

How Do I Love Thee?

The funny thing about these pictures is we have never told Abby to kiss her brother for the sake of taking a photo. In fact, it's quite the opposite, we constantly tell her to leave his head alone.
I was going through photos to try to find some of them together to put in their playroom. Maybe these will be a daily reminder of how much they love each other. Or how much she loves him.

Love...

I love this picture. I was going through old photos today to try to find some of Abby and Aidan together for a frame I want to put in their play room. This was the first time Rick got to feed Aidan (hence the gi-normous breast pump in the background). I love how they are looking at each other. I love Abby watching.
I love my husband. I love this picture.

Memorial Day and Diarrhea

Really? Is she really posting about diarrhea? I just might. Maybe today is the day I get REALLY personal? You'll just have to wait and see. Rick and I spent 2 days with a unit of barkdust. I shoveled, he spread. I don't care to see another pile of dirt for a long, long time. Today we went to the zoo at 8am. We had the entire place to ourselves, or so it seemed. It was fantastic!! It even felt like we got our own private showing of the elephants. Actually we did- it was just us. It was incredible to see them work. They are truly amazing animals- highlight of my day.

They tell them 'trunk to tail' and they do it and they have them walk laps for exercise

These are all the ladies. They called them each by name and told them to line up

How is the potty training? Day 9!!!

Abby's princess obsession has now waned. We've moved on to My Little Pony. Abby thinks a diary is called diarrhea. She says "Mom, if Santa brings me My Little Pony diarrhea, I don't want it. I'm gonna give it to you." Gee thanks. I've always wanted a Little Pony diarrhea.

And you thought this phase was over.

Outside

We spent all of Sunday working in the play room. Finally got the kids outside after 4pm! Abby waited so patiently all day. They had a blast going down the slide head first.

Potty Training

We kept Aidan in undies all day Sunday and he went every single time we took him to the potty. I am still amazed at how easy that was. Diaper free here we come!!

Play Room

Remember I said our projects would take 6 months? It's been 5. Rick still has to get the moudling up in the playroom and hang my pictures but we got the border up and painted the walls. The border I got from christianwallborders.com- it was so perfect for both boy/girl.

Bday Party

Abby went to a bday party for her friend Morgan on Saturday. This is her with her best friend Amelia.
