Last Week Came and Went

It took all of last week for me to recover from that colonoscopy. I think I prefer having a c-section Sheesh. Friday Rick drove to the beach for his Great Aunt's funeral. Saturday was Aidan's last soccer game and then his team party. Today was church and when I took Aidan to a friend's house for a play date, Rick took Abby on some errands and a daddy date to Starbucks. Pumpkins carved and ready for another week... I selfishly prefer weekends with nothing planned because they seem to last longer for me.

Catching Up

Survived my first colonoscopy. Just barely. Sunday was no food. Had to start drinking the nasty 64 ounces at noon. I will never drink gatorade ever again. Well... in 5 years when I have to have my next one. at 1230 things started and for 16 hours I was in and out of the bathroom. Yes, people 16 hours of diarrhea. From 2-3 in the afternoon I laid down because I felt sick (apparently most people throw up.) You have 2 hours to finish the drink. I finished in 1.5 because that was the worst part for me. I gag just thinking about it. The procedure itself was nothing. I even watched the whole thing. Those who know me know that I do not do meds well including sedation/anesthesia. I get sick EVERY. SINGLE. TIME. Zofran doesn't work and yet they always give it to me. Barfed in my mom's car on the way home and spent all day in bed yesterday. Missed work a second day and finally ate a little food since Saturday. I STILL feel sick. Needless to say my mom reminded me that I would make a very bad drug addict. So true. It's really sad when you wish and pray that you could tolerate drugs.

Pics below which uploaded out of order:Abby's pumpkin patch field trip. Dad's with donuts (Dad's bring donuts and talk about their jobs). Her Birthday. Aidan's goal kick last week. My dad came to the game! The kids haven't seen him in over a year so it was awkward but he came... Aidan was proud to have his Papa there. We had family pictures thankful for a break in the rain that day!

Public Speaking, Pumpkins, Poster, Party, oh and Soccer

Public speaking. Check. I gave a speech about Abby's Egypt "Project" a little over a week ago. I am still in awe of it and the ripple effect it has had. CRAZY I tell you. God is amazing. I put a picture up of a poster that was made too.
Chaperoned Aidan's pumpkin patch field trip where we got soaked. Field trip was cut short. Had Abby's birthday party at her Gymnastics place. I did her party a week early because next Sunday I will be down and out prepping for my colonoscopy. Good times said no person ever. Rick and I are chaperoning Abby's pumpkin patch field trip this coming week and we also celebrate her "real" birthday.
Aidan scored 2 goals this past weekend. One was for the other team. Whoops.

Another Week Down...

Aidan threw up last Sunday night but was fine Monday morning. This is the 2nd time this month he has just randomly barfed. I wasn't feeling so hot either but I think that's from whatever has been bothering my stomach the past 2 months or who knows.... I'm just anxious to feel 'normal' again.
Last Tuesday my Mom had her FIFTH colonoscopy and all was great. This November will be the 5 year mark which is HUGE.
We're just plugging along with the usual school and acitivies and trying to stay sane and keep up with the pace. Made some Halloween treats yesterday to get in the spirit of fall. Aidan drew a picture of him and his 'girlfriend' Olivia to give to her. Gymnastics tonight, meal delivery tomorrow, soccer Wednesday, Thursday free (yayy) Friday speech!
