SPRING BREAK.

Came and Went.... Hubs home Mon-Wed. He bought his boy a baseball net so they can practice. We ate dinner out on Wed.  I took Thursday off. Cleaned house and packed for our weekend in Seattle to see Jess and Reilly's new baby boy. Abby had her friend over in the afternoon. They made cake pops and jewelry while I finished cleaning. We left Friday morning after my dermatologist appt. Saw the baby Friday and then checked into our hotel and went to have dinner. Saturday went to visit the baby again and then drove into Seattle. Went to Pike's Place Market, hopped on the Monorail to the Space Needle where we had brunch reservations. After that drove to Lynnwood to the American Girl store. (Aidan went to Lego store). Back to hotel, kids played with their new loot and then my fabulous hubby took them to the hotel pool while I sat and read my kindle. I know. It doesn't get any better than that. Kids came back and declared they wanted to take a bath and get in their jammies and just get a pizza so that's what we did. Said our goodbyes this morning and were home by 2pm. Got laundry going, got my baked oatmeal ingredients ready for tomorrow morning, made their lunches, made salsa to go with a dinner this week, made chicken marinade for a meal this week, and finally a huge salad for dinner and lunches tomorrow. Made a grocery list for NEXT week's meals and started on the poster's for Aidan's service project. He will be selling dog tags at his school to donate the proceeds to the Wounded Warrior Project.
We are now in baseball, flag football, and gymnastics. My cousin's service is next Saturday so there are some logistics that need to be worked out. Back to the grind tomorrow. Bleh

Happy Spring

Just keep swimming... just keep swimming... Isn't that what Dori says in Finding Nemo? We are done with Basketball. Full on baseball 3x a week, gymnastics, and soon to be flag football. Still need to get swimming back in there. 80's day at school last week. On week 8 of P90X3 and here, after all these years of running, I thought I was in shape. Holy eye opener. It's spring break- kids are home with hubs Mon-Wed. I took Thurs-Fri off. Abby had ortho appt this morning- spring broke on her braces last Thursday. Nightmare weekend of keeping wax on the pokey wire round the clock for 4 days until they could fix it. Grrrr.

March

My cousin passed away last night a little after 10pm. My head hurts. Solemn day. He is at peace. Relief. Pain free. Cancer sucks. Aidan had baseball tryouts a week ago Saturday. Rick took the day off so he could take him so I could be at gymnastics. He really didn't want to play this year but this is the year where it might start to "click" so we signed him up anyway. They sent his team roster last night and he's on a team with NO ONE he knows. Great. Way to really help him like it more said no one ever. Tuesday was a big day for a certain little girl who is now sporting braces. She picked Abby's pizza as her "last" meal the night before. I surprised her with braces for her American Girl doll at her appt. Cooper finally had a bath and haircut. It's Cadbury Egg cookie time.
Yesterday was laundry, finishing cleaning the house, gymnastics and Aidan wanted to play with his science kit.
Sunday school duty today on very little sleep and a bad headache but the littles lift you right up and you aren't so consumed with your own grief. Aidan had basketball today and I wanted to prep meals for the week and get in a good run but wasn't feeling good. Feeling behind.
