10 days.

We left town Sunday May 4th.  Got up at 245am. Flew to Florida. Drove to Cocoa Beach to spend the night. Ate dinner at 930pm at a great pizza place. Got to see a beautiful sunrise!! Monday morning to Cape Canaveral where we boarded the Disney Magic and cruised the Bahamas for 5 days. I ended up working until 11pm almost each night. My job SUCKS THE LIFE OUT OF ME. Went to the Atlantis Resort (would not go back) and our favorite stop Castaway Cay. Got off the ship on Friday at 7am drove to Waffle House (first things first), our hotel, then to Epcot (scorching melting heat). Saturday we decided to sleep in and went to Cracker Barrel and then to Downtown Disney and the hotel pool. Picked up their annual Christmas ornaments too! Sunday was Sea World and horse drawn carriage ride at Port Orleans. Sunday night I did payroll since Monday was my birthday and we spent it at the all inclusive Discovery Cove. THAT was incredible. I would forgo all the parks just to do that instead. Dolphin encounter/swim, snorkeling, floating the river. Breakfast, snacks, lunch, beverages, included. Did I mention a slurpee machine? Yeah. I went to that thing like 5 times. Went to dinner at Chuys. We do not have all these great food places here! Tuesday we were going to drive to St. Augustine but got a really late start and I was afraid we wouldn't be back in time for our flight so we went to Gatorland and then drove to Winter Garden to Mrs. Bee's popcorn store- loaded baked potato popcorn. Oh so yummy. Got home at 1 am. Unpacked, started laundry, in bed by 2am. BOTH kids up before 6. Seriously shoot me now. But it was a good early start- threw them in the bath, took them to school, went grocery shopping, car wash, picked up the dog.  Sooo happy to see Cooper! Aidan is speaking in front of his whole school today at Chapel to present his service project. A few months ago he wanted to recruit all the boys in his class and sell football jerseys but those are spendy for the up front costs and then marking them up- not sure how many would sell. So it turned into dog tags with the proceeds going to the Wounded Warrior Project. He will sell them durning lunch next week. Abby was doing homework right up until we got in the car to leave this morning. SO MUCH HOMEWORK.
I stashed a week of freezer meals plus I have birthday coupons and this morning Rick found out he won dinner for a YEAR from WOW burger. So funny. So... I'm stretching out this no cooking gig for a little while longer.

Week of Crazy

It was 88 this week! Outside play after work. Both kids got hair cuts. Abby had a scooter accident. I was sick to my stomach ALL week because of my job and I cannot ever turn off the "worry" button EVEN THOUGH I know I am not the one in control. 6 hours of sports today. Freezing cold at baseball, straight to gym and then my girl and I got pedi's!!

Mudball and Hailball

Baseball game was NOT cancelled last Monday. Horribly cold, wet, windy. Aidan had (still has) a cold was shivering to the core. So many illnesses still going around right now. Ugh. "Let your faith be bigger than you fear" right?? Nervous Nelly about Norovirus that has hit the other first grade class.
Week of normal work and school. Cleaned the house a little each evening since the weekend is full of sports. Today's football game was pouring rain, hail, and thunder. You can sorta see the hail in the last photo. They finally called it and we just went home. AWFUL. I felt so bad for those kids. Had the kids in the bathtub by 145 and in their jammies. Supposed to be near 80 degrees this coming week so hoping that helps overcome our weather grief.
Made kale chips this week. Abby is doing a report on Dolphins.  Kid is an amazing artist. Got another freezer meal stored. No garage sale this year so we packed up a huge portion of the playroom for Goodwill.
PRAYING for no illness this week.

He is Risen!

Happy Easter. Last Monday normal day of work and school. Tues Abby had ortho appt so I was able to lounge around the house a bit (hello. love.) Stopped at the store on my way to work for non-perishable groceries. Work was CRAZY. Wednesday night Aidan had a baseball game so I ducked out of work early to get the kids. By the time we got home and I assembled some sort of meal, unloaded the dishwasher and put laundry in the dryer it was time to leave. Underestimated rush hour traffic and got there a bit late. At the ball field for 3 hours. He finally got the skunk off his back, had a good game and ended up with the game ball. Thursday was 1st grade parent sponsored teacher lunch (I brought my salad on the right day this year) so after his game I was in the kitchen whipping it up and boiling eggs for coloring. Thursday his game was cancelled. Friday no school so they chose to go with me to work instead of the daycare field trip. We left at 1pm, colored eggs, laundry, kitchen stuff etc. Saturday was baseball pics, gymnastics, (some ball under the chin coaching on bars you can see in photo) and making side dishes ahead of time for Easter dinner. Abby also asked to make Cross cookies which I really didn't want to do but I couldn't say no to her. Behold the cookies. Have some frosting. Service was at 730 this morning. My heart is full. Back home in my sweats. Easter dinner was pre-made yesterday so it's just heat and eat. Easy button.
