LOVE.

Happy Valentine's Day! Last Sunday was church, 3 hours in the kitchen making lunches, prepping the week's meals etc. Hubs had to take his nap early and take Aidan to his basketball game because Abby had mock competition practice. Wasn't able to get them registered for this next swimming session :-( Aidan had molds taken for a new retainer he has to wear at night.
Had to take Friday off to take my mom for colonoscopy/biopsies. Hoping and praying not a 3rd reoccurrence of colon cancer.
Had a fabulous Valentine's Day having hubby home. More gymnastics, take out, and the Sound of Music.

February!!!

Been under the weather this week so just chugging along. Abby's class performed at Chapel on Wed so I was late to work. It was AMAZING to see these 2nd grade boys embrace each other while singing worship songs. I was instantly moved to tears. Once I got to work I had to leave to go pick them up (early release). Was late on Thursday because we had our first dog training session. Kona is 5 month old now!
Friday night Abby had a friend sleep over.  They were busy with movies, eating, painting on canvas, make up, nails, more eating, more movies, giggles and late night whispers. Today we took her friend home, Hubs took Aidan to a bday party, I took Abby to gym, came home for her to change and dropped her off at horse lessons. It was her last one- lots of tears. Made me cry too. My heart is breaking for her.

Goodbye January

Week was meh... dealing with employee issues at work this week left me mentally wiped. Usual kid activities this week. Aidan received an award at chapel for living out "Listen to the Holy Spirit." We had our final piano lesson. Both dogs had baths. Mattress shopping. Lots of Sunshine!!!

No School. School. No School.

Monday no school. Aidan had a basketball camp and I took Abby to work with me. Tues/Wed school, Thursday they both had an ALL DAY field trip. Actually the whole school did minus kinder and 1st.  Hubs and I chaperoned because we need the volunteer hours.  Friday no school. Quick and easy week for them! Same 'ol gymnastics, swimming, tutoring, piano, basketball. Our big girls came over last night- was good to eat and visit. Still navigating this season of puppyhood.

January

Wasn't it just Christmas and now January is more than half over...We gave our 30 day notice on piano lessons (boo hoo) and horse riding lessons. It's just SO MUCH. All the time. Not to mention the expense. Piano makes me sad- I love listening to them play, I know it's good for them but it's a battle and they constantly whine and tell us how much they hate it. Abby got her competition leo. Has her first meet next month. Kids have a VERY short week coming up. Two days off and another day is an all day field trip. December/ January are the worst two months for me at work. I think (hope?) I am finally over the worst of it.

Back to life.

Hubs went back to work tonight after 18 days off. I know. I'm still jealous. He was able to completely rip out our master closet and re-do it. It feels amazing to have that part of the house organized. He also installed our new sink we purchased last summer. We celebrated Aidan's birthday dinner (a month later). We celebrated the Seahawks. Abby had an ortho appt and wasn't happy to get rubber bands. Her top wire has slipped so I need to get her in (hopefully) tomorrow. We had basketball clinic. Spent all morning in the kitchen after church making lunches/dinners. Started swimming last week we ended up switching Abby and moving her to an intro to competitive swimming class.

Happy New Year!!!

We slipped quietly into the New Year. I worked all week except for the Holiday. Christmas packed up. Abby had two horse lessons. We attempted Zoo Lights. Even AFTER the Holiday, overflow parking was full, the line to the train an hour-long. Disappointing for our little man.
We are starting basketball, swimming, and Abby soon starts her gym meets. Hubs is on a two-week shut down so it's been fabulous to have everyone together.
We celebrated #11 too :-)
