Days and Days

just all run together. Rick and Abby both went back to the dr last week. Rick started his chiro and massage therapy. They put in a referral for physical therapy for Abby which we will most likely start this week. She seems to be doing ok but still complaining about the same spot on her back. Hoping to get our vehicle back the end of this week. Thursday Aidan lost a tooth AND got his stitches out!! Big day! Came to work to a nice latte this week- apparently it was Boss's day??? Cooper's Robin Hood costume arrived. Rumor has it he's not that thrilled. Abby turned 9 on Saturday. For her class party at school on Friday, she requested Krispy Kreme instead of cupcakes. Her classmates raised their hands and each said something nice to her. I could hardly hold in the tears. Amazing kids. I made her those cake batter pancakes. Holy sweetness. Her birthday party was at a place called Once Upon a Horse for horse riding and grooming. We wrapped up the day with dinner out with Grandma. Today we skipped church for some much needed sleep. Once we got up and moving I made a sausage risotto so dinner could just be re-heated after swim lessons but we opted for leftovers instead. We had Abby's last baptism class today. They practiced their testimonies. It seems as though I took almost the whole week off from running as well. I call it my running furlough due to the flannel sheets. This is our last week of soccer! As much as I cannot wait to have the extra free time I really really love watching him play.

Wow.

If I don't tuck Aidan in right away at bedtime he comes looking for me. As I was uploading pictures to this blog last night I heard him coming only I heard a big smack instead and instantly scooped him up. We landed in the ER last night where the dr first said stapling it would be better than stitches because the hair gets in the way and then he wasn't sure if he'd glue it because his hair wasn't long enough to twirl on each side to glue it down over it. We waited 45 min for the lidocaine cotton ball to do it's work and the dr came back in to clean it up and shoot it up some more and then he decided to stitch it. All cleaned up and you can't even tell! Our boy is now on his 2nd set of stitches in his 6 short years. We took him to Krispy Kreme at 11pm for being so brave. So my grand plans for completing things off my to do list were squashed. Very little sleep and I had a brunch/wine tasting day planned with friends today so Rick was on his own with the kids which meant taking Abby to her baptism class this afternoon. I got home a little before 3pm to a text from him saying they were rear ended pretty bad. Oh my heart! I am so thankful they weren't seriously hurt. We ended up at urgent care because Rick has neck/back pain and Abby was complaining about her back. My mom pointed out that Aidan probably isn't saying he hurts because he doesn't want to see another dr after his head ordeal. What a weekend of mishaps but I am so beyond blessed they are ok. Sore and shaken up but I have them here with me to love on.

Family Photos

Latest

Pumpkin Patch. Unplanned completely last minute date day = massages and Gravity in Imax 3D. Soccer. Family photos. I will post those next. Man Colds. Cooper had his comprehensive exam and his teeth cleaned. I think they use too much anesthesia on him. They always have to give him something to get his heart rate back up and then he is totally doped clear until the next day. Aidan eats pomegranate seeds like cereal and I can give him a bowl of tomatoes and he's a happy camper.
Aside from soccer today, I spent ALL DAY cleaning, doing laundry, meal prep and homework with the kids. I still want to work on catching up their photo albums and Abby's annual birthday letter. Tired.

October.

I don't know what happened this week. I mean last week. I blinked and it was over. Aidan was star student so went to see him share his pictures, his favorite book and answer questions. Hubs and I went out to lunch before I went back to work. It was like a speed date. Wednesday the kids had early release so I left early to avoid a hefty daycare charge for that day. It was nice to get my grocery shopping done and home early to make lunches, laundry, dishes, dinner, homework and actually be done before 7pm!! One of the nights I came home and he decorated the front porch. He is the best. Hands down. Aidan had a soccer game yesterday morning. My dad came which caused all kinds of nerves on my part. It was good and I am glad for the effort. Aidan even scored 2 goals. I whispered thank you Lord on the way home that his Papa could see him in action. My little guy was just beaming. I took the kids to get flu shots at our dr office after- holy cattle line. Then we went to the bakery to order Abby's cake. We should have been outside but there was laundry and piano, spelling and bible verses to practice. Both Aidan and I woke up with bad headaches yesterday and Aidan wanted to watch the Duck game so quiet time was nice. Today was church, home to do homework and piano and then Abby and I left for her 2nd baptism class back home and to swim lessons and back home to make dinner. After dinner we enjoyed the last of the nice weather. Hubs and Aidan went outside to throw the football and shoot baskets while Abby rode her bike and I ran alongside.
