strikes again. We bought a gallon of fresh apple cider yesterday and I poured some for all of us and put the cap back on to put it back in the fridge. Instead I carried it upstairs.
Prior to that, I went in the laundry room to throw in a load, and filled the dryer up with dirty clothes.

sigh. I should compile a book of mommy brain stories. Surely I am not the only one.

Frogs and Moles

Does anyone want to come over and hunt moles? ANYONE??? Bring guns, knives, swords, traps anything. We can even throw in a meal if you want to come stay and hunt. We have a spare room too. They are tearing up our new yard. We still have our 2 little pond frogs, Rick scoops them up when he cleans out the needles.

Field Trip

I paid $2.49 for gas today!! Abby's field trip to the pumpkin patch was good aside from the goats that decided to uh... get frisky with each other in front of the kids. Get a room! sheesh. Well it just so happens MY child, OUR child, was right next to them trying to pet one during the ordeal.

So in the car on the way there she says to me, "Mom if Morgan is there I want to sit by her and you can sit somewhere else." Ahhhh the old I don't want to be seen with mom phase- I didn't think this started until at least age 12???

They made them wear these red shirts- hmmmm either free advertising or for safety purposes but it was hard to pick out your kid so I put a hat on mine

I lost a great deal of skin on the cheese grater this evening. Isn't that just gross? I'll stop there. Other than that it's been a good day. Love the sunshine- took the kids out for a little run. I tell you- running and pushing about 65 lbs of them in the jogger is hard work. I had an ah-ha moment while doing this and determined that is why my shoulder has been in so much pain for the past month.
Abby is now fighting some virus with a temp of 101 yesterday. Today it's down- she perked up. I took her to ballet and made her lay down this afternoon to rest. Temp is back up now. I am supposed to go on her field trip tomorrow to the pumpkin patch so I am hoping she feels better.
Not sure if you heard about the Kaiser flu vaccines but I assume we will need to have ours re-done. We are waiting for them to call. Rick had his first physical therapy appt yesterday for his tennis elbow- we'll see if he does what he's told :-)
I made THE BEST monte cristo sandwiches tonight.

Never Again...

will we go to a Chuck E Cheese. So those of you reading this, if you ever invite our kids- we will politely decline. Kidding- but really I think Rick is still traumatized. Abby has been wanting to go there- and since today is her actual birthday we took her there after church for lunch. Ashley and Nick graciously joined us. The first 10 minutes were fine- of which I captured pictures. The rest of the visit whoa. The planets are not aligned. Aidan has been mighty crabby since Thursday- nonstop crying, fits etc. Today was no exception. Abby actually a brief meltdown at Chuck's place- unusual for her. She didn't want to ride ANYTHING so that tells me Disneyland is out of the picture for a long, long while.

Afterward, Nick and Ash offered to take us to the Columbia Employee Store. Not a great time for us to be spending money but who can refuse a trip like that??? We got some great deals.

We got her a bike for her birthday and as Rick was putting it together late last night he determined that something is wrong with the back wheel. I at least got a picture before he dismantled it and put it back in the box to ship it back for an exchange.
