Had to be out of the house for two days while they coated the floor. Aidan's church camp ended at 1230 on Friday so I worked for a few hours and then we picked him up and headed for the beach. Cutest hotel. We had a great time exploring. Couldn't ask for better weather. Went by all too fast... one of the best weekends!! Came home to floors done and lots of dust. I went grocery shopping while hubs cleaned up some. He had to take a nap before work. I made dinner and tomorrow night's dinner for the crock pot. Cleaned up more dust... and so starts another CRAZY WEEK.

Week 7
I don't even want to put the house back together. I've been so unnaturally tired. I thought my iron was off but I haven't been feeling so good this week so maybe it's just a virus. Sunday while hubs slept I took the kids to church and almost fell asleep. I came home and spent the rest of the afternoon on the couch.
Floors started Monday and it's been crazy ever since. Hubs slept in a hotel Monday and Tuesday during the day because it's too noisy here. Aidan started church camp. He doesn't get as passionate and fired up like Abby does. He is so reserved. I'm praying something at least resonated or gave him a little spark. Kids had activities every single evening. It was rough. When we are old we will say, "remember the summer of 14 how we were never home, held down jobs, all the activities, and never slept? Good times. And thanks to hubby he did all the school supply shopping so it's one less thing on my plate. Make that two less things... my kitchen is all taped up so I'm not cooking.

Week 6 Halfway Point
Can't believe it. This is the summer of crazy that is why it's going by too fast. No time to enjoy it. Sunday was church and we started moving out of the downstairs. Our hardwoods are going to be refinished and we are having them installed in the remaining three rooms that have carpet. This entails emptying the playroom. Actually... the entire downstairs. In between packing, Hubs worked on scraping the wallpaper off of Aidan's room and messing with all the leaks on the pool and the filters.
Monday Aidan started Jordan Kent sports camp for the week. It's finally his turn for some camps! He is filled with bruises, scratches, cuts and blisters. He didn't look well towards the end of the week- the heat and activity wiped him out. More tutoring and gymnastics.
My dad reached out me last week and told me he had a heart attack awhile back and both his kidneys are blocked. They inserted stents in his kidneys and he met with the vascular surgeon this week to discuss the circulation in his leg. It's the most he has spoken to me in 3 years. Sad that it takes something like that to happen. Apparently he has an artery blocked from his hip to knee they are going to do some exploratory procedure to see if they can do a stent or some sort of transplant. They can't do anything until his kidney's are fixed. Then my Aunt (dad's sister) was in the ER with heart and kidney issues this week.
Friday hubs had his annual work golf tournament so he brought the kids to my work for the afternoon and then I took them shoe shopping. For Aidan really because he was busting out of his shoes. They had buy one get one 40% off so Abby ended up with a pair. I need to be more intentional with my prayer time. Spinning in circles it seems and I feel out of sorts when I'm not connecting and in the word.
This morning I cleaned upstairs while Rick went to his mom's to put up a deer fence. What we thought would be a quick trip was more like 3 hours so our planned family blueberry picking outing turned into the kids and I having lunch and school shopping with Grandma. Since he had to come home and sleep before work we didn't get any family time. Sad face. Abby got her first rip on her hand. Sign of a true gymnast. Lots of congrats going around but it looks even worse now that the skin is off. Aidan is giving all the money he has earned this summer to his church camp's mission offering this week. He's up to 43.50 (somehow got a dollar off grandma). The money is going to the Bright Hope School in India for girls.
Parts finally came in for the last 2 recalls on our car sooooo glad that is done. We're getting estimates for all the dry rot on our house (unreal one was $9K), floors are happening and then windows are next. It's like holding your breath just hoping you make it through the week. His schedule might be pushed back to later so now I need to figure out how to get the kids from school once school starts. Yikes. Keep on keeping on....
