Abby had her school pumpkin patch field trip on Friday in the pouring rain. This was Rick's year to go and if you know anything about him you know that even though he is an Oregonian, he does not like rain. NOT. ONE. BIT. He doesn't like bees, or bananas either in case you care.

and what's this? no pictures of Cooper? Sorry maybe next time.

Abby had a cold and then gave it me.... thankfully it was a quick one. Seems like all we do from October until March is take turns getting sick. Wasn't able to run very much this week but I've taken the pup on two 2-mile runs now and he's doing great. We still have lots of practice to do.

The kids got the H1N1 vaccine this week.... that in itself is a miracle.

I am truly amazed at what a miracle she is- well, both of them. I am praising God for choosing us in the midst of our imperfections, for answering our prayers and blessing us with this little life.

We celebrate today and give thanks for this little girl who seems to grow faster than our hearts can bear.

Birthday Weekend

I took this coming Monday off because I like to spend their actual birthday's with them. For her birthday she wants to go to the Zoo and Red Robin and because it's going to rain on Monday we are going to the Zoo after church and Reb Robin on Monday. Nothing like spreading your birthday out over a 3-day period. We had a great breakfast this morning with Grandma... not often her and Rick are both off on a Saturday! We went to the pumpkin patch after and got home just in time for the thunder/rain storm.

I love this picture- Aidan wanted him to play space ship over and over and no matter how much his arms hurt he kept doing it for him. I love this man.

Well hello Me-Me

Abby's friend Amelia at school. I brought cupcakes in for them on Friday so I guess that makes her birthday spread out over 4 days.

I took 97 pictures today trying to work on a little project for Christmas and this is what I get. Is he mooning me?

New fire truck undies from Grandma. Couldn't wait to wash them so he took the tag off and threw them on.

Happy Monday

Apparently...

Rick wasn't kidding when he said I would be the one getting up with the puppy. I guess breast-feeding two of his babies every 2-3 hours throughout the night for how many months doesn't count for anything? I've survived our first 5 nights with the new pup. Thankfully the past 3 nights Cooper has given me FIVE straight hours of sleep. And yes, in case you are wondering, the question of what have we done did cross my mind, especially after driving to work Friday morning, feeling so tired that I was about to fall asleep at the wheel. I had to roll all the windows down and freeze the kids. On top of me having a cold and feeling crummy all week, no sleep, working full time, ballet, swimming, grocery shopping at 8pm, laundry, ironing, errands, meal planning, meal preparing, getting Abby's bday invites done, and staying up past 10pm for 3 nights to clean the house after the kids go to bed, I had this little fur ball to take care of. I didn't even get a run in all week. So... having complained said all that, I think we are finally in somewhat of a routine and I haven't lost my marbles.
But.....
I wonder if Rick will think I am kidding when I tell him I'm making him egg salad sandwiches ALL next week for his lunch. I'm off to go boil some eggs.
